I visited the Ontario Heritage Homestead with Debbie and her husband, Cas, and their 4 children (Kyle 15, Caleb 14, Caden 11 and Cassidy 9.) It was a wonderful visit — the weather was spectacular ranging from warm to cool with no rain and no intense heat.
The property shows Larry and Brenda’s constant care and there are blooms and blossoms everywhere. The grounds look like an artist’s painting after Larry mows. The plants thrive with Brenda’s loving touch.
The buildings reflect the skill and attention from Art and Rod to keep all maintained and to continue to preserve the historic features of each building. A new ‘old pine’ floor has been laid and a new ‘old brick’ fireplace has been added in the museum hall.
The rennovation on the re-located “Yager House’ continues and it is almost ready for occupancy with the kitchen cabinets now in place.
